Lacrosse

As mentioned in an earlier post Darby is playing lacrosse this year. Last year he tried baseball and I guess it didn't really work out.  To be honest, though I didn't enjoy the baseball, I thought Darby loved it.   Darby last played lacrosse two years ago, and I recall that not working out.  I was his coach and I had to sit him on the bench almost every practice so that I could instruct the kids that wanted to be there.

The kids are with me while Marla is at work today.  We started the day with an unplanned  McDonald's breakfast.   Afterwards we just hung out; the boys needed help catching a Pokemon online; they were unsuccessful.  Ella practiced her printing; she cannot seem to stay between the lines still.  Eventually we made lunch - I wanted to BBQ some chicken drumsticks but I ran out of propane!  I broiled them instead and after lunch we all went to fill the tanks across town - traffic was horrible :)   Declan started playing with Thein while Mischa played with Ella (more on that later).   Darby and I played lacrosse in the backyard - well, we just played catch.  I snapped some photos:

While we were out getting the propane tanks filled I was asked by the gas filler guy (sorry I don't know what else to call him) if I was going to coach lacrosse again this year. I was caught of guard, he seemed young and I didn't recognize him. He told me he plays midget lacrosse - no he's not a midget Tracy - its an age group - he's a high school kid. I already forget his name but he knew me and wanted to coach with me this year. He said he watched me coaching last year and thought he could learn allot from me. lol
